In 1925 Adele Casagrande and her husband, Edoardo Fendi, founded a workshop of furs and leather goods with an adjoining boutique in Via del Plebiscito in Rome. Thanks to the superb quality of the products, the brand acquires international fame in a short time. In the '30s, following the death of his father, the brand passes into the hands of the 5 daughters of Edoardo, Adele, Paola, Anna, Franca, Carla and Alda: the breakthrough comes thanks to the meeting with an emerging Karl Lagerfeld, who starts a long journey of research that will bring Fendi to be one of the most avant-garde and revolutionary brands of all time. He was also responsible for the invention of the iconic logo with crossed F's.

Since 2004 Fendi has joined the French group LVMH, without losing the link with craftsmanship, Made in Italy and its cultural roots. The brand is currently under the creative direction of Lagerfeld and Silvia Venturini Fendi, creator of one of the maison's must have bags, the Baguette cult bag.
