DOLCE&GABBANA

The Dolce & Gabbana brand takes its name from the two designers Domenico Dolce & Stefano Gabbana, who have made the brand recognizable in every way and symbol of glamor and sensuality Italian. The first meeting between the designers took place when Dolce looked for work in the company where Gabbana worked: shortly after, the two started working together until the founding of the fashion house in 1985 in Milan. The first collection came out the same year, with the name of Real Women, because they had used local women as models. It was not a great success but they still managed to produce the second collection in 1986 and to open their first store. The decisive collection for the launch of the brand on a national scale was the fourth, in particular thanks to the "Sicilian dress", they consider one of the key leaders in the history of Dolce & Gabbana.

The first international success came thanks to Madonna who decides to wear their garments for the premiere of one of her films at the Cannes Film Festival. Between the 90s and the '00s the brand has grown exponentially to become the colossus of Italian fashion that we all know.
